Many blogs I've seen love a wedding section. No time soon am I getting married, but I love planning, buying, looking. Wedding cakes are gorgeous. Oh and I have a gazillion (or 3) semi-close friends who are now engaged!

CB2 Furniture Favorites

I'll do the shopping. Just listen up. Here's my CB2 round-up of its furniture (not decor). I'm a fan of CB2 for its cheaper prices and fun style.

Chet Sofa $799 - I peeped this on Green Your Decor's Green Living Room for Under $2500.

Platform Coffee Table $399

Formosa Table Tray $50 - I saw a similar item used as a makeshift bar in the living room in The Book of Decorating, a must have book!

Acacia Mini Bar $399 - I loved this, but I'm not sure I'd splurge on the $399 price tag.

Odyssey Dining Table $249 - I love this one as well as the completely white Odyssey table.

Joe Chair $149 - Looks cozy and gray tweed(?) is a new love.

Orbit Arm Chair $119 - Maybe this style is outplayed, but I think the simple lines of this particular chair allow it t be recycled.

Take 2: Target Home Design Event

Okay, I was a bit tough on the Target Home Design Event. There were a few acceptable items and even enough items to make a top 10 fave list. Always good prices also. Granted, I didn't see many of these at the store.

Homemade Applebee's blondies

I made a Yancey favorite, Applebee's blondies.

Recipe from cdkitchen

Applebee's White Chocolate Walnut Blondie

Ingredients
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/3 c. butter or margarine
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg beaten
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 c. white chocolate chips

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Sift flour and add baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Sift together.
3) Add walnuts. Set aside.
4) Melt butter. Add brown sugar. Mix. Add egg and vanilla extract. Mix.
5) Add flour mixture to butter mixture a little at a time.
6) Stir in white chocolate chips.
7) Place in a 9x9 pan for 20-25 minutes.

Syrup ingredients
3/4 c. maple syrup
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
*I used half of everything for this part of the recipe. It's sweet enough as is.

Maybe someday I'll make their long gone chimicheesecake. :/ I found this recipe from RecipeZaar. Problem is deep-frying it.

Dud - that's today. This has really become the worst day of the year and yes, the year hasn't quite started. Not only did I get into a fight with my normally pleasant roommate, I got ditched by my friends. Oh no, not just any friend but one of my closer friends. That was really nice.

I don't mind that my roommate is out because we need breaks from each other, particularly after today. I don't mind so much that I wasn't invited but I thought we were supposed to hang out and also, who they did invite. It's a touchy subject, but I think a heads-up would've been nice you know? I'm sure I'd understand. Thanks for making me feel even lonelier.

And as I scroll through my phone list, I can't find anyone to talk to. I mean, I called two people who I could talk to here and neither of them are picking up. :(

I need Van, Peter, Kim, or Albert to kick me down a few notches and remind me that I'm not alone. Something about those relationships are sane. It's like my relationships with Alex and Stephen. I think if we fought, we'd talk about it.

Yeah, I'm definitely cynical right now. I'm sure I always have been, but today, it's quite terrible. At least I know I made the right choice.

Also, I'm trying to call my dad for advice/someone to talk to. He told me the other day that he worries about me because I have a quick temper. Sadly, he isn't pick up either. Maybe I'll just make Yancey a card.

Ugh, so I was called annoying, an angry person, and told to "go cry about it" by my roommate. Yes, he said that.

We haven't had internet in MONTHS - like November. This was our SECOND argument about the same fucking thing. It becomes an argument when I get fed up with not having the internet for months and I won't let it go. Nicely, this time, he added all sorts of bullshit about me as a person. This of course, set me off. This was when he told me that he was going to his room to call and that I should go cry about this fucking situation. Nope, wouldn't have cried. Would've been upset, but him saying that made me even more angry. I then decided to talk on the phone but really, it was to yell at him.

Events like this make me a closet cynic. If I want things done, I have to do it myself.

What to do? Forget it or talk to him? Oh, I think this deserves a good talking to. I'm not even angry with him usually. This is like a once in every six months occurrence.

Anyways, today was a dud. No internet mostly to watch my Netflix and no one I want to hang out with. Life is boring without school and work. Why must Monday be a holiday? What am I supposed to do? Read? I've been doing that... Anything else to keep me thoroughly entertained requires money. I really like school and work.

I also have to write my student teaching application essays. :( This weekend. Also, a TB test next week as well as figuring out where my health certificate stuff is located (I have no idea. I hope my mom has it!) and I have to pay for a background check.

I've run into some of my favorite people like my fave (ex) co-tutor ever. I really want to schedule him back at the high school for a couple of hours. :/ I promise, our kids are so much nicer this semester! :) Scheduling is next week so we'll see if I'm a happy camper.

Speaking of happy campers, I wasn't much of one yesterday. Cold weather, the fact that I still don't have my student teaching placement (all social studies 9-12 people don't yet), and rather annoying people, who normally aren't annoying, made it pretty bad.

However, I got to see my fave ex-co-tutor and beautiful friends so that did make it like 10% better. Hah. Whereas, today, I might have to see a rather annoying person I'd like to distance myself from. Sadly, the communication on their end doesn't stop. :(

It's a new year and I want some positive, good people around me.

When not wanting to trouble myself with baking, some Bisquick pancakes with chocolate chips are quick and delish. :(
