Here Come The Newlyweds

I'm catching my first episode and I love it. I love LOVE and cute couples. The stories are cute.

Marlo & Mark Corliss

After dating off and on in college, both went their separate ways, only to once again cross paths and fall in love.
Hometown: Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts.

Ashley & Matt Cox
This outdoors-loving couple have known each other since the fifth grade, when they met on the school bus. They know everything about each other, which can sometimes lead to knowing what buttons to push and harmless bickering.
Hometown: Smyrna, Tennessee.

Sarin & Jed Hinkins
Virgins when they got married, this couple's honeymoon was the very first time they were together. Their honeymoon hotel turned out to be a clothing optional resort - which was incredibly awkward for them.
Hometown: Cedar City, Utah.

Brendan & Bridget Huffman
In high school, Brendan and Bridget ran with the same crowd. Years later, Brendan bumped into Bridget at a rock concert -- she was on a date with another guy. Sparks flew, Bridget ditched her date and the two have been together ever since.
Hometown: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Michele & Sonarak Ieng
Sonarak met Michele at a date auction where he was the emcee and she was up for auction. He bid on her and the next day Michele contacted him. The outgoing couple have been together ever since.
Hometown: Fairfax, Virginia.

Makayla & Kenny McMorris
This fun-loving and goal-oriented couple met at their church, but started dating after seeing each other at a club. When it comes to examples of happily married couples, they say that they are each other's best role models.
Hometown: Omaha, Nebraska.

Audra & Rich Newbery
It was love at first sight for Rich when he saw Audra dancing at a club with her friends. Audra says that it was Rich's British accent that won her over.
Hometown: San Francisco, California.

Katie & Nick Oskowski
This couple is addicted to fitness. She teaches aerobics and he is a personal trainer. If that weren't enough, they enjoy spending time together working out at the gym.
Hometown: Mentor, Ohio.

Andrea & Matt Smith
Although Andrea and Matt fell in love at first sight, it was five months before they shared their first kiss, and they dated for two years before getting married.
Hometown: Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
Status: Eliminated

I want to be an Upper East Sider too.

A simple bedroom with a gorgeous bedspread:

I love "Gossip Girl!" It's too good and I can't decide...

Blair and Chuck

OR... Blair and Nate?

BRB (and Dancing with the Stars)

canyouhearmenow: "You know that girl who all the guys like, but they’re too scared to say it because she’s so great? Yeah, I want to be her. She’s not popular because she’s slutty or rude or because she’s drop-dead gorgeous. People like her because she’s one of those people you just like being around. She talks to everyone and tries not to say bad things about people and stands up for people she doesn’t even know. She cares about the world and the environment and she has the most beautiful smile in the world because it’s genuine. She cares about people. She’s friends with all the guys and girls and always seems to know just what to say. She shares her opinions, but never in a hurtful way and she says just enough to still leave people wondering. She makes people smile. She walks with confidence and dresses how she feels that day, sometimes happy and sometimes sad, sometimes classy and sometimes with her hair a mess without any makeup. She has everyone captivated, but she doesn’t notice because she never looks at herself long enough. She’s too busy focusing on important things like the future and her friends and making things better.

That’s the girl I want to be."
Be back soon...

I watch an episode of "CSI: NY" every night before bed even if it's late and I have to be up at 6:30am. Wish me luck for tomorrow - lots of teaching which I'm not too worried about but I am concerned about my less-than-ready 20 minutes microteaching...

My faves in order on "Dancing with the Stars:"

Yance asked me who most of these people were... yeah, I don't know either.

Quick note: Lindsay Price & Lipstick Jungle

I watched "Lipstick Jungle" once and want to watch more because I love Lindsay Price. Of all the Asian-American female celebrities, Lindsay is the most gorgeous.

You know who else is gorgeous? Rashida Jones.

P.S. "Sex and the City," Candace Bushnell's first baby, is growing on me...

My nose is leaking...

I'm still sick and now my nose is leaking. :/

This morning, I was on a panel for Road2Teach. The students asked us some questions and they were generally nice and smart. It surprised me how amazing the students are now in comparison to when I was in high school. One girl thought we were crazy for wanting to teach high school. I said, "I didn't like high school much either, but it's a different story when you're teaching." I suppose I want to make it better seeing that so many of us disliked high school.

I took a long nap after I got home and am going to watch some "Dexter" as I write a draft of my paper. I wrote an outline earlier. Random 1 and 2 hour empty blocks of time leave me little else to do.

Despite being sick, I'm still eating quite a bit. I made some noodles with tuna and alfredo mushroom sauce. :) I also bought a container of Greek yogurt with honey.

Oh yeah, I watched "From G's to Gents" and rearranged my list of favorites.

Lank, Teddy, Mito

Blue, Baron, All-In

I can't believe I took such a long nap cause I'm waking up at 9am to go to my observation school and then at 2pm, I have a meeting. Maybe after my first meeting I can go to bed or get some work done. I always get more work done in the morning but my mornings are always so full!

American Idol favorites

Every morning I hear on the radio the opinions on last night's "American Idol." After my night class, I come home and usually am too tired to do anything else so I watch "American Idol."

Despite not getting really good reviews for "Man in the Mirror," I liked Kris's performance or well, the song.

Here's the audio:

From G's to Gents/I Love Money 2 recaps

Remaining G's on "From G's to Gents" in order of favorite to least:
Mito, Fahim

Lank, Blue

Teddy, Baron, All-In

Despite everything that has been said about him, Mito (1st) is my favorite. He might not win because he already has his head on straighter than others. I'm just happy that the bad seeds like Protege are gone. I also believe Fahim (2nd) is working hard - he just has a rougher way of communicating.

Remaining cast members of "I Love Money 2" from favorite to least:
20 Pack, Saaphryi, Buckwild

It, Entertainer, Myamee

Ice, Cali, Prancer

Angelique, Tailor Made

Seriously, how did the gold team vote off Bonez - why was he the sacrifice?
20 Pack is a hottie even if he ends up being fond of men instead. I was torn about this at first because I liked some people on each side. Now, I've converted and I'm on the green team's side. Tonight sealed the deal: no one voted for the two ladies (Ice and Prancer), the two gold team allied members (20 and Buckwild) voted once - for Tailor Made, and then Ice, Prancer, and Tailor Made voted for Bonez. Was there some weird deal made? Cause Bonez would be my last choice.
