Wishing and hoping and thinking and praying

Kris says I should wait 2 days after each contact to get any other word. I don't think everyone follows this.

How do I make a move? Someone help. Cause I'm really fucked otherwise. Particularly cause of the circumstances, I feel so lucky. This rarely happens to me. Actually, how I feel about it NEVER happens so I would love to not fuck it up. Okay, shutting up now to prevent myself from getting too sappy.

Apparently, I already screwed up though by not making plans for next time or getting a promised contact in the next week. Fuck. So next time, as Yancey advised, make some plans, talk more because I'm such a big talker and only really talk to one person, and be less like how I am with Yance, Kris, Tucker, etc.

(via indie rocket)

I'm putting this in the same post because it was just as good... I just watched "Gran Torino." I loved it. It's too freaking sappy... weird right? Maybe it's just how I'm feeling.

Last thing, the title and the song offer a bit of advice I suppose:
Wishing and hoping and thinking and praying
Planning and dreaming each night of his charms
That won't get you into his arms
So if you're looking to find love you can share
All you got to do is hold him and kiss him and love him
And show him that you care

Show him that you care just for him
Do the things he likes to do
Wear your hair just for him, 'cause
You won't get him
Thinking and a-praying, wishing and a-hoping

'Cause wishing and hoping and thinking and praying
Planning and dreaming his kisses will start
That won't get you into his heart
So if you're thinking of how great true love is

All you got to do is hold him and kiss him and squeeze him and love him
Yeah, just do it
And after you do, you will be his

You got to show him that you care just for him
Do the things he likes to do
Wear your hair just for him, 'cause
You won't get him
Thinking and a-praying, wishing and a-hoping

'Cause wishing and hoping and thinking and praying
Planning and dreaming his kisses will start
That won't get you into his heart
So if you're thinking of how great true love is

All you got to do is hold him and kiss him and squeeze him and love him
Yeah, just do it
And after you do, you will be his
You will be his (2x)

He's Just Not That Into You

I need to reread it because I feel lost (and remember that picture quote I had, it's becoming truer and truer.)

Quotes from the movie 'cause this is one quotable movie.

Alex: If a guy doesn't call you, he doesn't want to call you.

Gigi: Girls are taught a lot of stuff growing up. If a guy punches you he likes you. Never try to trim your own bangs and someday you will meet a wonderful guy and get your very own happy ending. Every movie we see, Every story we're told implores us to wait for it, the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. But sometimes we're so focused on finding our happy ending we don't learn how to read the signs. How to tell from the ones who want us and the ones who don't, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave. And maybe a happy ending doesn't include a guy, maybe... it's you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. Maybe the happy ending is... just... moving on. Or maybe the happy ending is this, knowing after all the unreturned phone calls, broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment you never gave up hope.

Any movie with Kevin Connolly is sure fire. He's a fantastic actor.

Day 3 of healthy eating

I left my night class yesterday for 30 minutes to get my award from the Education Department for Leadership and Service. Darn right.

I probably did not mention this, but I've been attempting to eat healthy for the past week. I forget what I did on Sunday. I think I ate well, but I won't count it. Everyday, I have eaten yogurt for breakfast (except a Lean Cuisine on one day), an apple, salad from Greenlife, and a Lean Cuisine for dinner. I had pita bread with hummus also today. I'm also working out in yoga and aerobics. So far, I've lost 5+ pounds. I just need to continue. What helps? Tutoring. Spring. I love tutoring and feel like I'm there. It makes me happy and not so stressed. Spring is here too! The weather is gorgeous and warm and sunny. I love it. I realized I prefer spring/summer over fall/winter.

I have to figure out how to schedule my mom and dad in when they come. Mom will be here on Sunday and dad will be here on the 13th at night. Great... I have to clean this weekend.

P.S. My British history paper is sad... :( I have maybe 2 pages of half writing, half notes. I hope I can get 6 pages. It seems much harder than I had thought this morning. My meeting with my prof allowed me to think of my thesis though. :) I also finished watching "Samoan Wedding" and now I want to go to New Zealand. It took me a long time to finish it, but I'm glad I did and actually paid attention to it. The background was beautiful and fit the nice weather here.

Breathe.

Still writing my paper... it's due Monday. Thankfully. I talked to my prof about it forever and am actually pretty happy with what I have so far. I don't know where I can go to work on my work. Anyways, I'll to finish it up tomorrow. Maybe I can read and do other less daunting things right now. I think a lot of writing this paper is I'm afraid to do bad. I'm holding myself up to high standards as a history major.

Instead, I napped (really didn't need to) and watched "Picture Perfect" starring Piper Perabo and some guy. It was pretty good.

I'm not sure how to convey my mood, but here's a video to help.

I love this house and the light airiness feeling.

Not-doing-work time

Instead of working on my paper, I've been watching some shows and movies.

Kristian Kordula from "College Road Trip" is gorgeous. I'm renting "The Weekend" because he's the main character. :)

Friday Fill-Ins
1. Please don't tell me the dreams I had last night could be true.
2. Can you make me wake up in the morning?
3. The color beige makes me want to calm down!
4. I have a craving for boys.
5. If my life had a pause button, I'd pause it a lot.
6. Eyes are the dreamiest.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going out tonight, tomorrow my plans include resting, and Sunday, I want to clean and get ready for a tough week!

Who isn't excited?!

Not even I, the apathetic, can stand to sit still for tomorrow's inauguration. This is quite exciting. Everyone is hyped and I'm ready to see what happens. I have no doubt this is a good thing. Even I must care about our country.

Jessica made my weekend. Bonnie too. They came to visit last night then Jessica and I went to her place to pick up things, the store, and Blockbuster for a movie where we saw Morgan, the birthday boy! We ended up getting "Ghost Town" because the people working there, Yancey's co-workers, snatched "My Best Friend's Girl" from my hands and put it back. Hahaha. Apparently, they don't like Dane Cook. Before watching the movie, I got some French toast at Denny's... hadn't eaten all day!

Today, we made Hunter's chicken. I'll post the recipe when I get it, but I didn't make much of it. Jessica did. It was delicious and I promised her and Yance apple chimicheesecakes next week! We tried to do our own palm reading and astrology. Apparently, we as Cancer and Scorpio get along. However, Yancey and I, as Gemini and Cancer, do not. Wait, that was only as lovers. Haha. I couldn't find a friend compatibility web site.

Anyhow, we watched "Pineapple Express," which I picked up on my second trip to Ingles because we forgot the white cooking wine. I still have "The Wackness," which I got because I absolutely love Josh Peck from "Drake & Josh." Yance and I had watched "College" this past week, a movie that stars Drake Bell from the same show. I was all for the bad guy though because I absolutely love Nick Zano!

I finished Black Like Me! I'm not sure if we have reading for my sociology class this week. The syllabus is weird. Anyways, since my hair is still wet, I might pop in "The Wackness." No class till 3pm, but I have to print something out for my class.
