Boy-girl thing

Watching "It's A Boy Girl Thing" before bed cause I need a little romantic teenage comedy in my life. Came home from time with dad. Ate sushi. Then, watched "Seven Pounds" with Sarah and Amanda and friends. Good movie. Picked up Kris for Bier Garden with Cassie and her friends. Left for a party to meet up with my new pals. I backed out of fireworks. Sad, but I have to make the right decisions sometimes.

Considering a crush. Maybe? I'm still considering if I have the nerve to do anything. This is really kind of bothering me. I mean, I see him sometimes and I barely ever talk. I offer goodbye hugs, which is more than what I normally do I guess. I'm not much for PDA (ish). Also, I don't tell my friends anything - guess I have a trust issue. Wish I had more in common with the dude though...

Let's talk

My friend who has come over everyday came over to help us with the electricity and walls. I feel bad about this particularly because he wants to hang around and my dad thinks my time is good repayment for the work. Afterwards, I went to dinner with Kris and Yancey. I had a salad - very healthy :). Kris and I went to buy me 5 lb weights at Dick's Sporting Goods as Yancey headed to work. Then, we went over to the supermarket where we saw our new pal and his super adorable next door neighbor. He is so cool and easy to talk to whereas our new pal, mostly high or drinking, just makes weird noises and falls asleep.

We went over to a friend's house and thus, easy to talk to. Finally, we hung out for about 2.5 hours on a porch. The guys drank beer. The conversation there was hard. I might have been interested, but I felt very uninteresting. I'm not much of an intelligent conversationalist. Also, I think I'm such a completely different person. I like things (i.e. materials), buying, watching, doing. I'm not so slow-paced. I'm not as witty as I hope - instead, I have a bit of wit and lots of humor. I laugh a lot.

I'm talking to Yance and I realized why I think the super adorable next door neighbor (mentioned above) is so adorable, why my partial countryman is hot, and why tubing buddy is gorgeous... they smile a lot and I feel comfortable talking to them because of that.

I am sick of one of my friends... but I'll get over it with some time apart.

Just in case

After tonight, I'm going back to yogurt breakfasts, salad lunches, and Lean Cuisine/Healthy Choice steamer dinners as well as daily walks/jogs.

Drinking... a little less maybe.

Jordan turned me onto this video of guidos. I love jagerbombs.

Recap of Monday-today

Monday, Bonnie called and we all wanted to do something. This something included more than 10 people in the end at Tolliver's Crossing for 35 cent wings (no purchase required) and beers. Afterwards, we headed to Usual Suspects. It was a mix of really awesome people. I had a couple of drinks and then a tiramisu cake that Liz enticed me with... mmm.

Yesterday, I dragged my dad shopping for 5 hours. We went to the Stir Fry Cafe. The Stir Fry sushi was good, but the rest of their food was ick. The soups were not right nor was the fried rice. The fried rice was awkward - no peas, no carrots just some browned rice. In any case, we bought a ice shaver for my shaved ice ventures, new silverware, and measuring cups/spoons. My dad thought I was crazy because I went 5 hours to 5 different stores to find them. I wanted vintagey ones with the right shape. I ended up buying orange measuring cups and blue measuring spoons that I will promptly take pictures of. When I came back, Yance was at work and then... see last post.

Today, after searching for phones and getting everyone out of the house (they crashed), I fell back asleep till 2pm. When I woke up, Yance, Alex, Tucker, and I went to lunch at... my fave, Papas and Beer. :) We got back and I slept even more (another hour). Alex gave us some info on some of the people at the party last night. They're cool I think, but we might want to check some pawn shops. After "American Idol," I'm going to watch the midnight showing of "Terminator."
